Ollie loves this cat so much that every time he sees it he starts bouncing up and down. The cat is very patient and even lets Ollie pet him occasionally. Last night I went in to check on Ollie and I found the cat sleeping about 3 inches away from him. Maybe the feelings are mutual.

Ella has similar responses to our cats. Whenever they enter the room, she start squirming to get to them and repeating "ki...ki...ki..." over and over. Ruby will indulge Ella's desire to pet her and will lay next to her on our bed or the floor, at least briefly (until Ella snatches a fist full of her fur), but Lucy desperately continues to maintain that Ella doesn't exist. Often walking around the entire perimeter of the room in order to stay as far away from Ella as possible.
That is adorable. Do you count that as her first word?
It will be her first word if the next word is "da da" -- if its "ma ma" -- then THAT will be her first word! ha! Considering who her father is though, the next word might very well be "damn it"!
Considering who her dad is "damn it" would be pretty tame!
