We had such a nice Christmas! My dad made a feast on Christmas Eve including prime rib and crab legs. Then we woke up EARLY Christmas morning to open presents. My parents and grandpa came over for our traditional Christmas brunch of chili egg puff and lazy daisy oatmeal cake. Then we had a quiet evening watching Ocean's 13 that Ryan got in his stocking. Some favorite presents were for Simon:lego's and video games, Ollie: Cars racetrack, Fischer: playdoh, Ryan: Buckeye's hat and t-shirt, Me: 2 pretty hammered gold rings from Ryan, and best of all: my mom's returning health!

The day after Christmas we had our first snow day of the year.

this little boy is SO chatty. his new favorite thing is to ask "why?", all day long. how can this be happening?? he's only 1 1/2!

then we had the official party when ryan, simon and great grandpa could join us. we tried to get some good pics of mom and the kids, but it was a challange. then we ate yummy thai food, fabulous chocolate cake, and had a pinata! happy birthday mom!

we went for a walk to the river. the perfect fall day!

Fischer, who didn't start eating solid food until he was a year old (because he refused to) would never touch a fruit or a vegetable. I've tried everything, mixing it in to his yogurt, smoothies, small chunks, different textures, fruit bars and he would refuse it every time. Once he took a bite of yogurt, spit out a bit of peach and swallowed the yogurt. Well, today he ate a banana!! i'm so happy! Maybe this means I will be able to wean him sometime this decade.
